Message: And that's 175 BHP "brake hp or flywheel hp" not RHP "rear wheel hp"... So you might have around 125hp or 130 RHP if your lucky...
I think Bernd on here has the most powerfull V6 with around 256 RHP the last time anyone heard or atleast I think it was RHP :))

Message: it wasnt... with his naturally aspirated-customer financed-economy killing 3.9, he only mustered about 205-210 rwhp. He has added a s/c to it and once again is in the mid to upper 14's
he thanx yall for all your hard earned money!!
Larry has the strongest NA V6 motor by far... i think he got 276 or so rwhp out of it.
Dodgeboy probably has the strongest non-NA V6 motor.

Message: My oh my, must be about that time huh :)) I just thought that I would simply point out that the 175hp is BHP and not RWHP... That's really all...
AND your right about Bernd, I was thinking about him and meant Larry, because he's the one with the 276 RWHP and he gets about 23/24 mpg out of his 4X4, which is what is really great about it ; ))
Now you got some stuppid SMART A$$ remark for this as well??? Atleast try to type right this time so I don't have to reread it three times :))

My stroker was pulled yesterday going to change
the heads and am thinking about trying a diff
cam profile. That's why I took the comp test and
found only 2 pounds diff across the board with
the #2 cyl being 2 less all others were identical
Have to match the heads to the intake and bolt it
back togather.
I am running a stock 3.9 with 1.7's MSD headers
48mm F&B JBA's 19# FMS for a while with the stock
comp and a jet 2 chip until I am done doing a
few more things to it. I want the 33 HP I am short
of for getting my 300 HP I want.
These heads were done by our crank guy says
they should net me 10 to 15 HP over the KRC heads
Will be back in the truck in a few weeks and going
for another dyno run as soon as its back in
Just could not be with out my Dak that long so
Jason droped my 92 V6 in this is the motor I am
going to put the 4.0 stroker crank in, it came out
of a rolled truck, runs very well for now

You know since you've got pretty well plenty of money and very interrested in it Larry, you might want to look into bores and pistons along with maybe some gapless ring sets and such... Really put the air and fuel to it then, but then your loosing your 20 some mpg figure as well :))
Please let us all know how your hp figures come back ; ))

Message: Greg,
The things I have listed on the above post are
what's in the 92 motor that is just in my truck
temporarily for a few weeks.
I am running aftermarket pistons at 10 to 1
The heads I will be putting on are also shaved
.020 so it will be maybe 10.1 10.2 to 1
I will also be trying a 50mm throttle body and be
shortening the runners another 1/2" the bores on
the manifold are already opened to 50mm but never
tried a 50 been running the 48mm F&B
I have over $6000 in this motor was also thinking
about getting a set of pistons to run 10.5 to 1
I should still be able to run pump gas if I go
11 to 1 I doubt I would be able to without using
an octane booster and that I would rather not do
its hard on the o2 sensor.
The 95 motor has a stroker crank, custom cam
ported and matched heads that are also matched
with the headers, a lot of screwing around but
well worth it. And a 1600 rpm stall converter that
mutiplys the HP and torque by about 1.5 would be
my best guess that alobne makes a big diff being
at 2000 rpm as soon as the truck is rolling

Message: WOW That's really all I can say besides the fact that I wish that I had the engine your running right now even though it's only putting out a fraction of the hp that your stoked one is :)) Have you looked into JE pistons... They've got a new hemispherical piston design now that would allow you to SC that beast and really bring all that other stuff alive... I'm sure for the right price they would make some for you... Allthough I doubt you want to loose all the fuel milleage that your getting out of your regular naturally aspirated 3.9l... You could always SC your stroked engine then have the current engine your running in your truck right now for the fuel milleage and all that stuff...
Larry what do you think I will get out of my 3.9 with the following ---
Current mods are ---
cold air intake
tornado
holley performance dual 52mm TB
Bosch quads, wires, cap and rotor
had to take off tb spacer, but would had liked to kept it, but won't work with new tb
I also use Mobil's 0-30 full syn and will switch to new 0-30 "racing formula" this spring when it comes out
Mods on the way are ---
relocated IAT to cold air intake, because much much colder "like sticking hand in freezer when touching intake piping"
port matching of TB to intake "dual 53/54mm bores"
port and polish of heads
head and intake shave of .015 or .020 like yours since you have no problems with it "this will also give more valve lift due to unaltered pushrods"
crowler 1.7 rr's "I'll just knock back the oil baffles or use two gaskets, but may run into sealing problems with that"
thinking about gibsons headers "due to chrome looks"
maybe solid 2.5" Y pipe, then on to high flow cat and dual exhaust
180 degree stat
maybe even underdrive crank pulley since there only $70
also new o2 sensors "don't know if I like the $80 apiece price though for two little sensors"
And if T56 ever gets that 6speed tranny conversion off of the vipers figured out, then maybe that as well
I think that was it :))
So what do you think that will push me into in the RWHP and torque range???
Help or destroy fuel milleage???
I'm allready really really happy with the tb, so am planning on all of this really helping ; ))
Any thoughts at all would be very appreciated...
Thanks,
Greg

Message: My stroker is the motor that gets the good gas
mileage the stock 3,9 with the 1.7's 48mm F&B
headers carsound dynomax MSD, box wires and coil
and the jet 2 chip & cold air is only getting
about 19 20 in the cold
stroker 21 and 22 to 24 in the summer
With the stroker I can start from a dead stop just
push the throttle about 1/8" and it will roll upto
60 65 mph the farther I push it the faster it gets
there. Its a great motor
I think I am just going to change the heads, match
the ports and a new set of lifters they have
91,000 on them the chain has only 11,000 so
that's fine. going to stay with the same cam for
now.

Yeh, the stroker from everything I've heard you post about it, is really something else :)) Wish I had that kinda power out of mine!
