Message: I am having a small idle probem. When in drive and stopped the truck just does not sound correct. There is no flucuation in RPM, new plugs and wires, I took the truck in and had them run a $5.00 can of cleaning fluid through the fuel tank for $45.00. Still just sounds like it wants to stall and it has a few times.
This truck only has 51,000 miles and seems to be fine except for that.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance!

Message: I just asked for help on this same topic the other day. I have a 98 SC 3.9L V6 also and it is doing the same thing. Started around the 55K mark and I'm at 66K now. I've followed every thing by the book and replaced everything on time and changed all fluids on time with correct parts. It was suggested to me to pull the IAC off the throttle body and clean it real good with some carb cleaner. IAC is the Idle sensor I haven't done it yet but sounds like its worth a try.
