Message: I dunno, I always thought those guys in the Civics/Preludes with the big exhaust pipes we're pedal drive...?
I mean, hell, they sure run like it... :0)
I'm never going to forget the look of absolute panic this guy in a little blue Prelude had every time he looked in his rear-view to see my huge green Dakota grill sticking to him like glue. It was hilarious! ;0D
I _could_ have passed, but I really wanted to make a right at the next light!

Message: The civic Si is a respectable car for being A 1.6 liter (B series motor). about the si with domestic motor . The si is Not a drag car; It is simpily a fun loving car that handles like a dream. It can take more abuse than any motor I have ever seen and sustain 35 to 40 mpg at 8 grand 153 mph (bone stock). The nice thing about a honda is u can peg it and leave it at redline for Hours without worring about your block melting to your head. This is because of its all aluminum design (better heat distrabution). The typical american car has a cast iron block and aluminum head (not to say that they all do) but this is not the way to a long lasting motor. So i would say the Si has many admirable qualitys about it as well as being able; with mods to be able to push 400+ hp out of a 1.6 which no other motor of equal or less displacement in exception of the incredible mazda rx7 which is a rotory (1.3). But would it beat a dakota off the line probuly not but after 50 he will start pullin on your two car lengths of leadway the the dakota has managed to gain. I have raced and driven many many too too many cars working at honda east.
I recently purchased a dodge neon (140 hp 130 ft lb T) and raced a civic si (bone stock) He got me after 50 and only took it up to 7500 in each gear. So if your dakota can doabout 105 or below a 14.5 in the quarter mile dont see how u could beat the so called dual hampster driven varible valve timing rice burner.
