Message: I got a '92 dakota with a 3.9 in it as well. I really love the way side pipes look and sound, but i've only heard em on a full-sized ram with a 360. Im lookin to get them on my truck~and i read all the previous forums but i still dont know if it would sound good or not- i dont want to sound like a bunch of ticked off bees. Any actual good suggestions or comments?

Message: Can I put a 318 to 390 stroker kit in the 98 3.9L?? The 3.9L is just
a sawed off version of the 5.2L. So can i get the kit and just not use
some of the parts or is there a better solution to get more
horsepower and torque. Any answers or suggestions would be
much appreciated.

Message: anyone know?? somebody has done this before because i read a post on here that this guy did it and he got about 220 horsepower to the rear wheels. i was hoping he would respond since he is one of the few that successfully bored and stroked his 3.9l and got a 4.6l

Message: yeah youre right, it can be done. you just dont use all the parts that come with the stroker kit. my brother's a mechanic, so if you want i can get up with him and he can tell you how to do it
