Subject: shift indicator is off... IP: Logged
Message: Ok, The shift indicator/pointer on my 94 automatic, does not line up properly... It seems to be out of adjustment...
Is this an easy fix or a nightmare???
If there is a quick fix, it would be appreciated...
Couldn't find info in the manual...
TIA...
Cheers,
Ray

Message: How far off is it could be a worn bushing on the
linkage, replace about $1.50 each.
If you do need to adjust the needle you will need
to pull the dash cover, there are about 8 torx
screws you remove to take it off, than you can see
the little cable that moves it back and forth and
how to adjust it.
Now a nightmare just dream that went off course.

Message: Thanks mucho GenII...
Will sleep on it and see if it can become a lovely fantasy...lol
I think I will have to hold off on tearing up the dash... It just seems like quite a bit of work to adjust it about a 1/4"...
Close to the number 2, it is really in drive... I can live with it this way until summer...
Thanks for the help... It is appreciated...
Cheers,
Ray
