Ok heres the deal I raced my friends 99 v6 dak ext. cab and i have a 94 v6 ext. cab.....him and I weigh extremely close and I had a friend and so did he they were same size about 170 lbs. a piece....we both have exaust systems he has a glasspack and i have 40series flows he has a K&N so do I we are alwyas dead even on a 30 punch.....well we raced for the first time on a light and we got off the same but for some strange reason i started pulling away from him fast. When we got to 60 m.p.h. I beat him by almost a full truck length....nothing seems wrong with either engine except mine...when in the morning my trans slips like a biatch. I dont understand and neither does he...the only thing i think they maybe it is that i have 150k on my motor(well broken in) he only has 40k. Wierd though huh?
Any opinions?

Your 94 is a lighter truck than the 99.
You have a big advantage in a drag race.
Add some more weight to yours or take some out of his.

Are you serious that my truck is lighter than a newer dakota? I thought they were exact same or lighter.
