Subject: Oxygen sensors IP: Logged
Message: I bought a 93 with 163000 miles on it(got a good deal) and other than the timing chain rattle(Gonna have that dealt with soon) the truck runs good. My question is---should I change either or both of the 02 sensors, or not worry about them. They aren't exactly cheap. I look to be getting close to 18mpg and the check engine light isn't coming on. If they needed changing, would'nt there be a symptom that I'd notice?

Message: you would get a code from the computer. but its not a bad idea to change them about every 60000 miles. they use to say wait until they go bad.

Message: Hey I have a 93 with 125,000 on it, and I get about 18-19 in the city, your mileage is pretty good for our motors.
