Subject: flowmaster or dynomax?
IP: Logged

Message:
I was wanting a low rumble but loud to make heads turn. I know it's going to be nothing like a v8 roar but i want it as close as possible. So should i get a flowmaster or dyno max? or is there anyhting else i can do to achieve wanted sound? Like glass packs, straight pipe? I do want ti to sound sweet not harsh and crappy.
Plase help me to make a wise decision. should i also duel it out with flowmaster or dyno max?
I'm new with my Dak so let me know all that i need to

Thank
Kp

I put a Dynomax muffler on my 93' 3.9 dakota and it sounds great. Nice deep throaty rumble at idle and low cruising speeds. This and my K&N FIPK (57-1501) where my best mods so far because they both compliment each other.

I am also new to Dakotas. I have a 99 3.9 and I will probably go with the dynomax. But should I go with true duals or just one muffler with dual outlets. Also, is it best to keep the converters or punch them out or cut them off all together???
What do you all think???

true duals will rob a lot of lowend power. just go with the outlets

scottie, if you gotta pass a snif test i'd leave it on. if it's just a visual, i'd gut it. i don't know about where you are but, down here in LA some of the major cities are doing the snif test now.

Before I had my truck I had a Camaro Z28. My exhaust consisted of stock manifolds to stock cats to a dynomax bullet muffler with a turndown after that. It sounded AWESOME! Flowmasters are really restrictive...
