you chevy fags are full of sh*t!!!! LOL thanx thought, you guys gave me a good laugh. Xtremme pieces of sh*t are just a lowered s-10 with the V6 and body moldings. They run high 15s at best in stock form. I believe motor trend has them running a 16 somethin. The same mag that said Daks are capable of running high 14s stock form. (Gen 2s/5spd/318). Keep on trying, its funny.

Ok, i own a 2001 4.3l Extreme, and i have a buddy who owns a 98 dak 3.9, his truck is a reg cab, short box, i have an extended cab, short box, hes got an exhuast and Intake, and i got an exhaust and thats it, i beat his ass all the time, off the line, or doin 30mph. So either way you put it, Extremes rule all, and my truck weights more then his and i still beat his ass, go figure, Chevy Power.

I'll say this much I had a 97 S-10 V6 extended cab before I bought my Dakota. And I didn't have half the problems with the S-10 that I've had out of this Dakota. So when the frist of the year rools around & I'm shoping for a new truck. One thing you can bet on is I will not be lookin at any Dodge's!!

I have a stock 99 auto S-10 extended cab with a 4.3 and my friend has a 96 auto stock extended Dakota with a 3.9 and we raced 3 times. He beat me all 3 times by just around 3 feet. It was a good match and I say they run about the same but his inside of his cab is bigger then mine. Also both have just under a 100,000 miles on them.

O.k. guys this is the breakdown. I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9 V6 and I have a friend with a 2002 Chevy S-10 Extreme 4.3L. (both stock) He was talkin one day to some girls about his truck. He was saying that he ran a quarter mile in 14.1 seconds. The funny thing is that my Dodge will run the quarter in 11.6 seconds with a slow reaction time. Eat that one Chevy.

You arent getting an 11 second time out of any stock dodge, or any dodge for that matter (unless is a stealth r\t TT or a srt4 neon). Its hard for r\t daks to break into 12s, and the thought of you running 11.6 stock is laughable. Your friend is full of it too, hes not running 14.1 stock either. There is no way on earth. Stock r\ts run between 14.5 and 15.5, depending on the model, conditions such as temp, etc. Unless you meant 1\8th times, never expect to see a board at the strip light up with anything lower than 16 seconds on your stock v6.

Look, stop playing. If you run your 3.9 on a 4.3 and if you don't beat him by 3rd gear, boy you can forget it son, you will not beat that 4.3. The 4.3 is not all that stock, but it will beat a stock 3.9 all day. Now the dakota v8 that's a bad boy, but 4.3 with intake,electric fan,exhaust,and computer reprogramming work done to it will dust the 3.9 v6 and 4.9 v8. So for all you 3.9 Dakota owners stop the jokes, because if you think that your v6 is so powerful that it is able to outrun a 4.3 v6 you're wrong, the person that you were racing was probably scared that he would get a ticket if he punched it. So take my advice and don't take your victory so serious because the day that you run up on a Chevy S-10 4.3 v6 Extreme
that is never scared,you'll get your feeling hurt and your doors blown off.
P.S. the 4.3 v6 Extreme is not 190 hp/250 lb torque, it is 180 hp/245 lb torque, but even so it will still kick that butt.

By the way, the V8 daks come in either the 5.2L or the 5.9L R/T and now the 3.7L (and 4.7L?). There's no 4.9L anywhere in the lineup of dakota engines...

Excuse me for posting a THIRD time, but before a smartass troll decides to reply...
I know the 3.7L is not a V8...
Also I know the 5.2L V8 and the 5.9L V8 are no longer offered in the 2004 models...and after double-checking, the 4.7L is (along with the 3.7L V6). Sorry for being such an annoyance...
