Message: that's odd. They're quick, but thus far the ones I have raced at the WORST have only managed to match my speed. Then again, the drivers might have sucked. *L*

Message: I'm learning more and more each day that the driver must learn his/her truck better in order to race.
I'm just getting to know my truck now, 7 months later...

Message: yeah one would think that with an auto flooring it would make u go the fastest, but that doesn't seem to be the case. the thing is to touchy

Message: one thing i have noticed with my auto is that if you lift your foot of the pedal for a split second right before it shifts and then mashed, it seems to shift better and go a little faster....who knows? i am probably breaking the thing! oops!

Message: yeah, with my auto it seems to shift better when you lift off. i have been hoping im not screwing it up. it seems to go better and plus i think it helps let the truck know you want to change gears. if you just keep holding it down it would redline i would think. one thing with my truck though that is weird is that somedays it accelerates good, other days it is pretty bad. i dont know why.

Message: Well for all you who have been dusted by a Focus, I have redeemed the Dakotas. *L* I saw one yesterday and thought "Great...now it's my turn." I got next to him and started to toy with him, and once it was obvious to him, he stomped on the gas and so did I. I'll admit the Focus is pretty dang quick, but either he can't shift, or the auto isn't as 'peppy' as the V6 is, because I slowly but very steadily pulled away from him. Saved face once again. *L*

Message: Any of you guys ever heard of aerodynamics?
How about power to weight ratio?
the Focus runs a heck of a lot better than it looks!
I love my Dak. but I really wish I had gotten a v-8
