There are 0.0610 inches3 in a cm3, and 1000 cm3 in a l... so that makes 237.9 inches3 in 3.9l.

I wish they would back to using cubic inch's instead of liters.
This is America after all.

wouldn't it be nice to use the metric system for everything though?

Mines a 238.5 as I figure it, assuming the 318 c.i.d. minus 2 cylinders--hence 25%. I posted this on another thread to some fag 5.0 owner.

actually the FAG does appear to have a rounded up 5.0L
Lets see here. My HP engineering calculator tells me that 1.0 L converts to 61.024in^3.

So, 302 /61.024= 4.949L I forget the rules on rounding so maybe I need another decimal place :) ok 302/61.0240= 4.9489 Is that better or worse? Where did all that fifth grade math go that I knew?

Good news is 318/ 61.0240= 5.2111 so looks like Dodge doesn't cheat ya like the FERD does.

well maybe a tiny bit on the 360 /61.0240=5.8993

Now take my 3.9L don't know the c.i. so how about 318 -25% = 238.5
238.5/61.0240=3.9083..........Just want to say that My 238.5 will stomp yer Ferd anyday FAG boy."

I think the metric system is great. I wish america would go metric. The metric system is the international standard for science.

the metric system would be alright if thats what we had started with 225 years ago, but miles an hour is much easier to say than kilometers per hour, fuel economy is easier said miles per gallon instead of X liters per 100 kilometers, we would have to pay for gas and diesel by the liter instead of the much larger gallon, and i like being able to say that i have a 340 or a 360 instead of a three point nine liter, since the numbers is universal in that it means cubic inches, and i hate converting all the old muscle car engines to liters for the morons i go to college with

1st question: 5.08 x 10.16 (m)
2nd question: 1.22 x 2.44 (cm)

What really would suck is that a 2x4 ain't a perfect 2" x 4"...so it'd be even more improper than using US Standard (I think that's what it's called...right?). So then you'd prolly be calling a 2x4 a 5x10 and a 4x8 would be called a 1x2... or something like that. haha...so US Standard is better:)

My thoughts are the same as Spencer's.

On my Dakota its 238 cubic inches, my message is
that knowing your weights, measurements,
conversions is important.
The down side is that most SAE tools have become
obsolete, yet unsuspecting DIY's will purchase and
never use.
Measuring in metric is easier, especially working
on smaller project.
