Subject: Exhaust IP: Logged
Message: Next up on my list of mods is the exhaust. JBA headers of course and there's a bunch of cat-back systems out there. But what about from the headers to the cat? The stock y-pipe for the 3.9 has the same Dodge part number as the 5.2 (52020078) so will a complete 5.2 exhaust system fit on my truck ??
Its a 97 club cab 4x4.

Message: don't waste your time & money unless your going for a SC you won't see anything out of headers on a v6 it allready has the same size exhaust as the v8's......just change the muffler to a high flow and you'll be happier

Message: Just get a dynomax 11748 or a flowmaster 50 and
stay with the factory 2.5 single tail, there is
nothing to be gained with a expensive cat back
system.
The headers will show no gains unless you have the
intake side done, TB. cold air and 1.7's than you
will notice them.

Message: Did the K&N fipk and the 5.0 mustang blueprinted injectors and will have a TB pretty soon. The 1.7 rockers are a little ways down the road for now but I plan on doing them. So maybe I'll just do headers & a muffler and thats it.

Message: The injectors seemed to give it a little more power, ran smoother and the mileage picked up a little, but they were replacing the stock injectors that had 127000 miles on them. I had planed on replacing them anyways so why not put the good hot-rod stuff in.
So far, the most noticable changes I've made are the K&N fipk and replacing the o2 sensors.
