Subject: Need help Problem code p0456 IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2002 dak sport with 12000 miles on it and my tranny light just came on and it is shifting funny. The code I got was p0456. Can anyone help thanks in advance

Message: 446 - evaporative emission control system vent control circuit malfunction
456 - evaporative emission control system leak detected (small leak)
i would say check the gas cap (like suggested above) and check your hoses on the purge valve (located near the firewall or battery). And then check the emissions box under the truck located on the driver's side frame.

Message: P0307 = cylinder 7 misfire detected
P0307 = detectado petardeo del cilindro 7
P0307 = Rate d'allumage detecte sur cylindre 7
well..... without knowing anything else i can tell you this.... you have a V8
check your sparkplugs first.. replace all if number 7 is no bueno... be sure to set the correct gap (.035-.040). Note what kinda condition the plugs are in (color, texture, smell) and check your plug wires

Message: The CEL should go off in 3 to 5 drive cycles/trips. Or you can reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery and turn the key to start for about 10 seconds.
