Subject: Cleaned out converter and still rattles? IP: Logged
Message: I recently cleaned out the converter and it still rattles because the air flow now has to go around the innerds of the converter. The sound is like rough wind through a hollow pipe and is sort of gets bothersome. Any suggestions on how to muffle it.

Message: Take it off the truck cut a hole in the top and
remove all the crap you left behind, than weld the
hole shut and put it back on.
Wind through a hollow pipe, I hope so all the
pipes are hollow. LOL
Put a muffler behind it

Message: Cut the dang thing off... use a sawzall... cut it at both ends (as close as you can) and put in a peice of flex-pipe... clamp it at both ends... i did that with my 97 dakota... it worked out fine... i acutally get better gas mileage now
