 Subject: Thermostat Help!!!!

I was changing my thermostat and I can't get the old gasket off. It is a tight squeeze for a scraper and I am running out of options. Also I was wondering what to expect from the stage 2 jet chip. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.
I have a 2002 dak sport 3.9l

I just did this change this morning in my 96 and I used a flat blade screwdriver. If this doesn't work and there is alot of gasket left you may need to make more room by taking off the alternator bracket and assembly.

I used a long flat blade as well you'll find a few spots to lever the screwdriver against if it's long enough, as for the Jet 2 I have one as well noticably improved power over 3000 especially on highway, be sure to relocate your iat as well. Good luck.

Set the old thermostat in the hole, get a can of
gaskit remover and spray it down.
Wait an hour it will soften the gaskit enough to
get it off.

if you have a dremel tool with a wire brush it does wonders.. that's what i used but make sure you stuff a rag in the hole to keep the debris out
