 Subject: carbed 318 in a 98 dak

has anyone put a carbed 318 in a newer 3.9 dak, i was thinking about throwing away my v6 and putting in a built, cammed, carbed, headed, etc in my dakota any opinions or tips would be appreciated. thanks

If you go to dragtruk.com you can probably find lots of examples. It wouldn't be street legal though. You would actually be better off with fuel injection. You can build a fuel injected motor with full exhaust and catalytic converters that is more powerful than a carbed engine and still be streetable. Holly and Edelbrock make some great programmable MPFI systems.
