Subject: GEN III stuff for a GEN II IP: Logged
Message: I know this has probably been answered, but I am having a hard time finding the answer.
if someone could point me in the right direction.
I was wondering if I can put GEN III stock tires and rims (265/70-16) on my GEN II dakota (225/75/15) without any problems such as rubbing.
thanks

Message: i know of a lot of genII's that have either put the 15X8 or 17X9 wheels on their trucks without problems.

Message: Yes you can do it Trust me! To get the R/T rims to fit you must grind the upper control arm app. 1/8 to a 1/4 inch all the way around and grind the spindle about a 1/8 also and pound down the dust cap for the spindle this makes the center caps fit

Message: I put 235/75/15 on my 92 and it only rubs when I hit a huge bump and the truck settles back down. Never major and never happens anymore since I put a few miles on em about 15k miles on the tires.
