Okay I have a dodge dakota club cab 1994 3.9l v6, here is the deal, The truck will run great but when i go down the road it starts sucking gas, and chugs, chugs. I first thought it was the fuel pump, so i bought a new one and replaced it. worked good for 1 whole day then it started back up again. I know that some of the like a fine rust got threw the fuel filter, is it anyway it could be the fuel injectors. I did take them out and clean it as well, with carbon spray. One more thing after it chugs down the road the egine will shut off/stall then it won't start back up again. I also clean the rotars and the distributer caps. It still does it, i just don't know. Anyone have a clue, if not it's gonna have to go to the garage and i feel it's gonna cost big bucks. The transmission is new the motor is in great condition, and it's a work horse, but now it's not running worth crap and i'm lost. =( HELP!

your problem probably lies in the vehicles
speed senor. Thats what tells your comp how
fast you are going since your speedometer is
cable driven. It is a little black piece at the
back of the trans or transfer case depending
on ewhat you've got. Either the part itself is
defective or the wiring up to it is the problem.
The part is around $20 or so but make sure
the wiring is good first before you replace the
vss. go to a dodge dealer and tell them to
check the vehicle speed senor out for ya there
is a number of tests they can do with a scan
tool. hope that helps ya out
