i have an 02 3.9 rc 5spd and it sucks big time for gas mileage. I might, and let me stress might, get 13-14 city, 17-18 highway. it's costing me about $25 every 3-4 days to fill. So are you guys saying that split duals from the muffler may actually make the truck run worse? Would a single exit be better, like a gibson SS from the cat back? I want performance, but a nice sound too. Hey Marvin, that sucks what the guy did before you with your o2 sensors, that was kind of stupid. Hollowing or getting rid of the cats on something that has o2 sensors before or after or both would most likely set codes, that is probly why he cut them. You'll probly get codes again if you hook them up and don't have cats on. I'm not a mechanic, but i would just think that it is the factory's way of screwing people that have the whole cat thing in mind, but it is better for the environment.

Mufflers

2.5 in and 2.5 out single
or
2.5 in and 2.25 dual out

is about the max for the V6 unless you have some major mods......
