Message: Looks are personal preference. If you like it who gives a $hit what everyone else thinks; it's your truck. However, that size will either not fit at all or will rub like CRAZY. You may want to look at their SSR series to find something that will fit on a 2wd truck. 30X9.5 seems like they might fit, but you don't have a whole lot of clearance for much else with no lift.

Message: I put the 30.5X9.5 tires on my truck and they look great, i love them. There is no rub on the front, even when i turn the wheel all the way, atleast I havent noticed one and ive had the tires for 6 months. I really think they would look better if i had the 15x8 wheels instead of the 15x7, but that is just my personal preference. Otherwise, they look badass!

Message: I have the 15x7 wheels, those are the 5-spokes that come on the Dakota Sports. There are also the other wheels that come on Dakota SLT's that are 15x8. They have the 5 pointed star design, bit each of the 5 spokes is split into two.

Texas - I'll be upgrading my rims shortly and I'll be selling my 15X8 split spoke stock rims off my '00 ClubCab. If you're interested I'll be selling them for relatively cheap. Not sure what shipping will cost tho.

Message: It will rub like nuts if you keep your stock rims. Also, be prepared for a lot of noise comin out of those boggers. I'm just running traditional swampers at 33x10.5x15. They are awesome for off roading! I also have a 3" body lift to fit them in nice, but they still rub a little at full turn. You don't have a 4x4? Well, if you can stand up to the noise go for it, but if you think your gonna getb sick of it don't get them! Just my two cents.

Message: DakMatt- Let me know how much you want for them. I am not sure if I will be able to spare the money to get them as I am a college student, and I have to pay for next semester. But let me know when you are ready to sell them, and for how much and I will let you know if I want them or not. Thanks.
bogger- I agree with Tony, make sure you will be ok with that hum, b/c its gonna be pretty damn loud. Just my two cents.

Message: Oh yea... Make sure if your engine ever blows, that the dealer doesn't blame it on your tires and deny your warranty. That's what they did with me and now I'm screwin them up the as* cause of it. Haha Tires don't blow engines... If you wanna know the whole story, look for the post by me entitled HOLY SHI* in the v6 forum like prolly on page 2 or 3.

actually a deal right now on tirerack.com
for each tire only being like $40 instead
of 90.
I got the general grabber street edtion.
they stick out a little bit but make the truck
look beefy(so says people) if you ahve fender flares they wont stick out

Message: I'm a new owner of a 97 Sport and I am going to need a set of tires soon. I have never owned a truck before, but this is sort of my every day beater and am not too familiar w/ what tires I should go w/...Love the truck so far, I just got a HELL of a deal that I couldn't pass up.
I am not going offroad (2WD in S Florida, there's no such thing as terrain here) but want a nice wide tire w/ a good tread (quiet highway ride) I purchased it to do some things around the house and my other vehicles don't have ANY cargo room.
I have the 5 spoke alloy wheels 15 x 7 I think, pictured here http://www.macoszone.com/RIMS/set.jpg
what's the widest tire I can fit on here and what's the difference between the normal Pxxx/65-15 and the 31x10.5x15 measurements? How do I compare tires of these different measurements?
Thanks for all your help in advance...

Message: You should get a 3in body lift and then think about getting some 15x8 rims. No way will those 31x12.50 boggers work. What engine do you have? If you got an V8, you will be ok, but anything else, your performance will crumble. Stick to a 31x10.50. Maybe a 32x11.50 If you gotta have width. And again, you better like tire whine! Those boggers are LOUD. And they travel across the road finding all the rits. Hang on to that steering wheel man!
Good Luck to you dude. Take your time and do it right, OK?

Message: i'm looking to purchase a rim. it is for my 2000 dodge dakota club cab. the size is 15 x 7 it is a closed 5 spoke aluminum rim that is grey or possibly a dull silver finish, it has a cap that covers the six lug nuts at the center and has 5 wavy grooves along the outer slots of the spoke. the cap that covers the lug nuts at the center of the rim is plastic, i believe, and has the dodge ram emblem on the cover. posted august 10 2004 11pm central standard time . email me if you have a rim for sale and well negotiate.
