Subject: Just a couple of questions IP: Logged
Message: Alright I have a couple of questions. If anyone is willing to take a stab at a few then I would appreciate the info. BTW I have a 2001 3.9 V6 auto 4X2. Question #1: I have heard numerous compliments on the autolite 3923 wires, but how can a spark plug wire that cost a $1.00 each be worth it? Doesn't the phrase you get what you pay for come into play at all? What would be some other recommendations on some quality spark plug wires? Question #2: What are the effects of getting a brass rotor cap? How much do they cost and where can I get one? Question #3: Will a 180 degree thermostat for a 2000 work on a 2001? If I were to buy a set of fuel injectors, should I go with a set off of a mustang(year? part number)? Thanks

Message: 1. autolite 3923's are not plug wires they are the plugs
2.Brass & copper are better conductors of electricity.
3.yes, infact you can go all the way back to a 93 V6 they are all Magnums.
3a. If you have a 2001 truck you allready have 21# injectors, they started using them on 2000's
BTW I have tried the autolites & 180* t-stat they didn't work well in my 01 truck

Message: 3923's at .040, new 8 mm champion truck wires, brass cap and rotor worked good for me.
2000 V6 53K 4x4.
I did not do the T-stat
Regular changes of the Cap and rotor help, IMO.
