Subject: 99 V6 Surges IP: Logged
Message: Tach surges about 200-300 RPM around 65-70 MPH. Do not really feel it in the truck but very noticeable on tach. Anyone know what causes this? Thanks

Message: AC on, or cruise control. I had this problem the fix seems to be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) Easy fix at about $80.00 for the part. 2 Screws. I took a shot in the dark that his would fix it. It did. I could not even use my Cruise control and the surging was contantly happening especially when I hit bumps in the road.
This sounds like your problem.
There is a post that goes into it a little more but it is a old one you may need to do a search for more info.
