Subject: Engine Runs Rough IP: Logged
Message: I have a 95 Dakota with the V6 3.9L engine and 85,000 miles. Sometimes right after the engine starts it acts like it's not getting enough gas. I have to pump the accelerator several times to get the engine to run up to normal speed. This typically occurs if the gas gauge is less than half. When the tank is more than half, no problem. I just had a tune up and other than that it's running real good and getting good mileage. Any ideas what is causing this problem? Thanks!

Message: Could be clogged injectors. Injector cleaner is useless. Pull them out and look into the inlet side for dirt and gunk. If dirty get em cleaned at a shop or buy the FMS units. Check your fuel pressure with a gauge, should be 50psi @ idle.

Message: My 97 did that and it was a fuel pump going out. Actually not to hard to change with a nice strong friend. Pull the bed it WALA, right on top the gas tank.
