Message: mikee, congrats. you have come to the understanding that our dak is a pile of heaping dung.
that is why we all spend thousands of dollars as soon as we get the heap home.
you truck acting like a scared chicken is not uncommon at all. infact, if i didnt hesitate at all from a stoplight then i would say there is something wrong. brb.

Check your spark plugs and wires to see if they are worn, and also take a look at the contacts in the cap/rotor for scoring. Might be a clogged fuel injector, try running some injector cleaner through it.
To me it sounds like it could just need a tuneup. Do you have any more information that could possibly help?
You may also want to check the TPS voltage mod at www.speedtweaks.net, if it's always done it, then it's possible that the sensor needs to be calibrated (simple).
I'd also consider cleaning the IAC Solenoid, procedure can also be found on Speedtweaks.
If it -continues- to happen after all this, take it to AutoZone (I think thats the place) and have them plug it into their computer and check for codes. They do it for free! It -could- be an oxygen sensor (doubt)
