i relocated my iat sensor about a week ago to the intake tube. when i started my dak today, the MIL light came on. was this a result of moving the iat sensor?

Put the Key in the ignition
Turn the key to the "Run" position (The one right below start)
Move back to the "On" Position
Turn the key to the "Run position
Move back to the "On" position
Turn the key to the "Run position
Move back to the "On" position

The "P" codes will appear in the odometer, flashing the codes, one by one, and then it will flash "P DONE" when you've reached the end of the codes. Then you can look up the codes at.....

http://www.obdii.com/

http://allpar.com/fix/codes.html

Or you can go to AutoZone and they can pull the codes with a scanner, I think they will do it for free ?

ok i got the codes
p 0031, p 0051, and p 0136
i checked them and it said
1. "shorted low condition detected in the oxygen sensor 1/1 heater element control feedback sense circuit"
2. same thing except "2/1 heater element" instead of 1/1
3. "open or shorted condition detected in downstream oxygen sensor heater 1/2 relay control circuit"

what does this mean and what should i do?
does this have anything to do with relocating the IAT sensor which i did about a week ago?

Well my friend you've stumped me !

I've done a good bit of tinkering but haven't got a MIL or any codes yet.

I have read that the 01's are a little fussy with Bernd's IAT adjuster, some it will work fine on and others will get a MIL with it. It is thought that Dodge tightened the program on the PCM.

If you take it to the dealer as it is your sure to catch He11 for messin with it :(

You could change it back and take it to the stealer !

You could change it back and see if the light goes out, or you could reset the PCM that will clear the codes and you could see if they come back.

OR maybe someone else will step in that has had this problem.

The MIL will clear when the PCM see's 3 normal cycles.

The Codes will stay till you reset the PCM, or if you can get someone with a scan tool to clear them.

personally I would clear or get the codes cleared and see what happens after that, it is possible that that some of the codes were there from some other time and not the IAT relocate or this incident.

No problem we are all here to learn and not get burned.

Have you been to www.SpeedTweaks.net ? You can find a lot of tips there under tips & tricks.

How to Reset the PCM:

Disconnect NEG Battery Terminal

Turn the ignition key to the START position and hold for 15-30 seconds

Release key (OFF) and reconnect the battery
