Subject: Header Question... IP: Logged
Message: Right now i have a Gibson 3" single-swept exhaust and the sound is just ok'ish. The sound is kinda "slugish"-like. Will it sound better or improve if I get a set of JBA shortys?
thanks.....

Message: ya don't buy headers for sound, you buy them for power. you will hear a change in tone esp. if equal length tubes are used but "sluggish" in an exhaust system, never heard of it.

Message: Billybob is right. I think the increase in power is in the mid to upper rpm range. Gibson sounding sluggish? Maybe it sounds loud and you aren't going fast enough (meaning you should going faster than sound)? I know when comes to exhaust systems that sound is the determining factor. Perhaps another system would sound better to you. Lot of people try to acquire sound bits or chips of exhaust system before they buy or better actually hearing a system. I am satisfied with my gibson but I never compared it with flowmaster or borla
