Ok, this really sucks. Took off to go to school today, everything was fine. Truck was running great, as per usual. Ended up driving through a massive water puddle (It's rained for almost 2 weeks straight here in Orlando, it seems), that wasn't there when I drove through two days ago. Didn't go too fast, but once I came out I gave it a little gas to go up an incline, and all hell broke loose.

Now it seems like I'm running on 5 cylinders, 4 if I really push it. I managed to get back home without difficulty, just knowing it wasn't running right. Halfway home the MIL light started blinking at me.

Ok, I've not seen -that- before.

I know I've got water in a connection somewhere, but what does a blinking MIL mean? I expected to get a solid MIL because of the odd-running engine, but this threw me.

I'm a little worried since I -think- the connection that has water in it is the one that the JET II is plugged into. If anyone can shed some light on the blinking MIL thing though, I'd appreciate it.

Don't drive the truck with a blinking mil! When it blinks it means you have multiple misfires, which means your dumping liquid gas down the exhaust. It could be as simple as some water in the distributer cap thats causing it to not fire on all cylinders, but if you drove it a little ways with it blinking plan on replacing the catalytic convertors because they probably overheated and melted shut from the gas igniting in them. If you looked under your truck when you parked you would find that the cats were glowing orange!

This isn't to say that you won't get lucky, but if after you fix the misfire, the truck bogs down when you accelerate, the cats are shot.

I only drove maybe 1 mile, so I think I'm ok. It seems to run fine now. Ended up being water in the power feed to the accel coil.

Blinking is multiple misfires, huh? Cool, learn something new every day.
