Message: What's up everyone, I need all you experts help. when I start my truck and let it idle, it idles at 1600 RPM's. As long as I do not floor it the idle will remain constant. If I floor it while driving, let off the gas completly then reapply, I will push the pedal a 1/4 the way in and no response at all (nothing happens) a little more then the truck jerks and drives with a little more pep than before. When this happens if I push in the clutch, or pull it out of gear it will idle 800-1000 rpm's but it revs up and down constantly and evenly (sounds really bad ass). I have no idea what's going on with it. the only guesses that I have is a vacuum leak or maybe a bad map sensor. please help
Things i have done recently (just got the truck and got it running), new IAC, fuel pump, Injectors, o2 sensor, from the cat back all exhaust replaced. Also more but does not pertain i think.

Message: Hey guys,
Check the IAC vavle in the back of the throttle body and the throttle positioning sensor in the side of the throttle body. These were the two causes the dealer found on my '98 3.9L mag. I replaced them both and the problem has not come back.
Oh, and I strongly suggest you install them your self. It only takes about 15 minutes to install both. The dealer wanted to charge me $40.00 labor on each one. That's $80.00 buck I saved myself for other mod!
