Message: A buddy of mine has an old(early 80's) 4 banger ranger w/5speed. Well yesterday on the way home from work he pulls out behind me and starts riding my bumper. At first there was a truck in front of us, so I didn't do anything. But then the truck turned off, I punched it and started pulling away. I got up to 65 and waited for him to catch up, then I punched it again. I pulled away kind of slowly until about 100mph, then he started getting smaller real quick. When we got to a curvy strech of road he was able to keep up until he turned off.

Message: Hmmm... I bought a new Ford Ranger back in 1988, it was a longbed with the 2.3L (88hp) 5 speed. It was the slowest damn thing I had ever driven. Top speed was about 82 mph. I think the only truck on the road slower would be a postal truck.
