Subject: Truck running funny IP: Logged
Message: My 1988 V6 Dakota runs very strong most of the time. Occasionally
it will hesitate when accelerating and even stall while driving. After
stalling, it will start back up after a few times trying to start. I have
replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor and have used fuel
system cleaner to try to fix the problem and nothing has helped.
Any suggestions out there? Thanks a lot,
Marc

Message: Have you checked for any codes? Sounds like it could
be an EGR problem. Check codes first.

Message: I was having the same issues. I replaced the o2 sensor,
speed/temp sensor a few relays, fuel filter, etc... It ran better
but still did the whole stalling thing. Man was I fuming when I
hit the carbs with a little cleaner and it solved the problem. So
give that a try. Might b a long shot but if I knew I could have
saved $100+ by grabbing a can of $.97 carb cleaner months
ago it would have been a lot less stressful
