Subject: Towing a Camper 700 Miles IP: Logged
Message: Hello All,
I'm having some trouble determining how much my new camper should weigh. I have a 2000 V6 Dakota with a 5 Speed manual trans. Its 2wd and the gears are stock. I would like to keep it but I'm afraid I cant get a big enough camper. Im goin from Florida to Louisiana so no mountains or snow or anything. Im thinking I want a 5th wheel. Specs say I can pull 4900 safely. Im a real minimalist so I wont be adding a lot of weight. whats a good trailer weight to look for ?
