Message: So, I gave my Dakota 3.9 a tune up last week, and now I'm getting noise through the radio that was never there before. I installed Brass contact cap and rotor from Napa, E3 3.64 plugs,Granatelli MPG wires, 2 new NGK O2 sensors and replaced an Accel coil with An MSD SS. Anyone out there have any insite as to why? Other than The annoying noise, the truck runs Great. Mods are, Airaid, JBA, Magnaflow, Fastman TB,gasket matched manifold, FMS injectors, AIT mod, TPS mod, small crank pulley, super chips tuner.

Message: Hmmm my truck smells like gas when it's running...
I have a new IAC and Map Sensor.
My idle is at like 1,600 RPM's.
And I changed the O2 sensors.
New xf2e fuel injectors(which I believe gave me a minus
2MPG, I was getting 12MPG and now I'm getting 10 MPG,
but I should be getting 16MPG)
I have 31x10.50 r15lt size tires. Originals are P215/75 r15.
I do have an SCT Tuner, and a CPS mod with IAT mod
running with it...Maybe that's the problem? But I don't hear
any pings.
I don't know what else to check...:/

Message: Ah ok. Well check the antenna, might have gotten
disconnected, right under the glove compartment, You have
to be looking at the trim of the dash and the front side of the
heater/AC box there is an antenna connection in between the
box and dashs trim, it's like an input output cable. It's black
and it has the output connector that looks like an output
connector for a guitar amp wire. Well it might be loose and
causing u that noise. Check to see if it's on there right.
Just a suggestion.
Ps. It's IAT. Lol

Message: KIRK,
I have noticed that even low resistance wire RF suppression can increase ignition noise. The E3 spark plugs are lower resistance than most other plugs about 3500 ohms vs 4 to 6000 ohms. Both these
can increase noise. Make sure that your radio antenna outer shield is properly grounded, this may help with your problem. Good Luck.

Message: Wadak, radio antenna outer shield? Not sure what or where that would be. Funny you guys are going with the antenna thing tho, because I have adapted a Scion Tc antenna. Hmm...

Message: Ok, Here's another question. Reading through older posts has got me wanting to try the Halo plugs, but I can't find the p/n's posted. search's for H9b, or B-DR15YC-1 come up empty on LSG Brisk site. Did they change the p/n again?

Message: all you need to do is put a condenser on the coil
as you used to see them on the older vehicles
how ever did you use the tack adapter

Message: Condenser? The ballast resistor that used to mount on the fire wall of older cars? No, I didn't use a tach adapter.

Message: A condenser is another name for a capacitor. It's an aluminum electrolytic capacitor. Try one rated 25V or higher, and 0.47 microfarads.
