Message: i have a 96 dakota 3.9 that seems to overload on fuel at start-up and i have to feather it to stay running. it also stalls sometimes at lights. though when it stays running it idles at 400-500 and my gas mileage has been all over the board. my speedo and oil pressure gauge went out a few weeks ago so i unhooked the battery and it reset everything and this is my new problem. thanks for your help.

Message: (as answered on your other post on the other board)
Is the engine light on?
Could be alot of things causing this, Injectors, O2,
dirty IAC, Fuel pressure, EGR, etc. etc. etc.

Message: I'll bet your battery is failing. Do a load-test on it.

Message: Having the exact same issue on my 97. Have to give it gas in the morning for it to keep going.
Low RPM's aswell. I haven't stalled yet, but I am backfiring and the truck actually 'bucks' when it drives. Its awful. I've cleaned the TB/put Injector cleaner in, nothing seems to be helping.
New Fuel pump for me, so, I can scratch that one off the list.
