Subject: intermittent prob now hard to crank IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 Dakota SLT 2WD V-6 with 153k miles. It cranks up good but after about 10 seconds it sputters and dies. For the past few weeks it would drive good, but die all of a sudden going 40 or 50mph.
List of what I have replaced.
Plugs, wires, ign coil dist cap and pickup, air filter
TPS Sensor, MAP sensor
Only time I got a code was for the ignition coil, so I put the old one back on trying to see if it was a defective coil. The light went off but then my truck started running way worse. So I put the new coil back on and still not better.
I have read a ton of posts on here trying to pinpoint the prob, but it is getting frustrating.
Thanks for your time.

Message: How about the pcv valve ?
Passenger side middle of rocker cover .
Also check the vacuum hose from it to the manifold .
