Message: There is a splice in the wiring about 6" below the underhood
fusebox. It's 3 wires into one, red, red/white. This splice
corrodes over time. It feeds power to the PCM, fuel pump and
ignition. It can cause intermittent stalling and no start. Check it
doesn't cost anything to repair it. Just clean it up, preferably,
solder it together.

Message: i get a 89 dakota my truck is start but wen it cuts off it wudn start again. fuel pump doest cut on but it a brand new pump workin propery wen run it directly from the battery

Message: When I come to a stop it dies but not all the time I changed
plugs,wires,distributor cap,rotor,fuelpump . One day my wifes
car would not start I tried to tow it with mine but when I did it
died I tried again and it died again.please help me.

Message: My 2000 Dakota 4x4 has a issue I am driving along at about 35 to 40 mph and when I go to pass another car the tact stars going crazy and the engine stars to pop and chug up and down . what would cuse this if I may ask/?

Message: most likely the idle air control valve is bad, buy
a new one for 30 bucks and slap it on should solve
the problem

Message: If it is misfiring mostly when under a load then probably it is ignition related - coil, wires distributor, plugs, etc. It should be triggering a code that may pinpoint the problem.

Message: my '97 dakota 3.9L v6 runs 20-30 miles and decides to cut off at highway speeds of 40,50,60...drifts and cuts back on with misfires etc. and always loud backfires.or, won't cut back on and i have to coast to side/road and sit for 10,15 minutes and it starts back up and rolls on another 20-30 miles and does it again. any suggestions for repairs, parts installs, etc.????thanks from new member....already put in new coil. no help.
