I've been battling with this for months now, and am about fed up. I've never had a problem crop up like this that is so hard to solve.

Problem: partial misfires at idle and under load. You can feel it surging and sometimes missing under any load. Occasional full misfires. P0 codes: P0300, P0301, P0305, P0305, sometimes 306. P0301 always sets first within a few minutes of driving. Cylinder 1 seems to be not getting enough fuel. I am 100% sure this is not an ignition problem. Engine has a recent valve job and good compression. Does not use oil.

I have replaced the following:

Plugs, coil, cap, rotor, wires. (all twice)
Fuel pump.
Alternator and battery. (not for this problem)
No. 1 injector.
Swapped entire throttle body including TPS, IAC, and MAP sensor.
IAT sensor.
Swapped PCM.
I have checked exhaustively for vacuum leaks and found nothing. PCV system is working normally.
Removed intake and replaced gaskets including plenum pan gasket.
I have visually checked valve motion and rocker arm operation.
The vehicle also has a new catalytic converter and new oxygen sensors.
Fuel pressure is above 50 and steady at various speeds. Vacuum is also steady.

NOTHING has made any difference to this problem.
Any one have any last ideas before I get rid of this vehicle in sheer frustration?

Worn distributor or distributor shaft bushing maybe? You may want to check that.

Does it do this either hot or cold?

It's less noticeable when cold. The distributor is not worn at all that I can detect. I tried new cam and crank sensors with no results. I don't think it's ignition related.

Multiple cylinder misfires are often cause by the engine running too lean because of a vacuum leak. You stated you did a vacuum test and it was steady ... what was the reading? Also you stated you had a valve job done are you 100% sure they did it right? What are your cylinder compression readings and are all cylinders within 10 psi of each other? I have seen misfire codes pop up from burnt exhaust valves..... Why did you have to get a valve job anyway?

I had the same problem i replaced the same stuff and no good. I found that auto zone ad sold me 2 bad iac sensors then i went to the dealer and paid allot more 4 it but it worked you just need to buy this stuff called B12 chemtool by berry men and take about 5 Q tips and dip 1 at a time in the b-12 then clean that port that the Iac goes into and don't be surprised when you get a bunch of carbon out of it just do it until its clean and install the Iac and it will run ruff 4 a minute and then smooth out. I hope this helps
