Subject: AC blower help IP: Logged
Message: My AC blower is not working so well any more. It will blow just fine when I first start the truck after sitting for a while. Then it will stop and might come on intermittently. It does not seem to matter what speed the fan is set to and it blows cold all the time. Any ideas what it could be and what troubleshooting advise do you have?
My truck is a 99 v6 automatic club cab.

Message: You need to replace the blower motor resistor block. the local dealer to me sells it for $15 so it should be about the same for you. It located on the passenger side under the dash... there are 5 wires to it .... 2 screws holding it in ... easy to replace... the older ones had a design flaw.. the new one will look totally different but is a direct bolt in.. take the truck to the dealer .. buy the part ... and in most cases the parts guy will show you where it is in the truck .... unless the guy is a dick .. . lol
