does anybody know how far you can safely bore the block? and after intake and exhaust, what would give better dyno numbers, RR's, v8 TB, or cam? thanks to anyone who can help me out

not sure but probably no more than .030". too bad noone makes a stroker kit anymore. you could try raising compression to about 10:1. that should be safe for pump gas.

1.7:1 RR's would probably be your best bet. just like changing the cam you're essentially increasing valve lift. v8 tb's are cheap, do both at the same time.

v8 TB is a good mod. I have one for sale along with the v8 cable that you'll need for 75$ + shipping. email me at winks_shadow@yahoo.com if you're interested.

the 1.7 RR's will add aprox .030 lift and 4
degrees duration average gain 15 to 18 rear wheel
hp

The V8 body offers the same gains so doing both
on the low end 30 hp high end 35hp rear wheel

$75 for body and cable is a good price all your
V6 sensors should be used because you know there
good the cable bracket will also bolt right up

when ever you change the TB start and stop motor
3 times it will than learn the new idle than it
will run somewhat doggie at first improve in 50
miles short term learn than around 200 miles
fully learn if you have more modes upto 500 miles

all blocks can be bored .030 most will not take
.060 the walls are just to thin

gasket match the intake ports they are a big
restriction in flow some are so bad the injector
spray actualy hits this and forces the fuel back
into the intake just taking this restriction out
is good for 5 to 10 HP

do the crank sensor mod, relocate the IAT 6" from
throttle body into air tube or air cleaner on
the older daks

TPS volts to .75 just catch the bushings with
a slightly larger drill they will spin heat up
and just push out than use 2 little washers
and do not over tighten

center wire + pos and a good ground use a sewing
needle to back probe the wire key on engine off
to check than strt and stop 3 times to learn new
idle settings

these are free mods that will increase throttle
response

if you get any ping doing the crank sensor mod
than drop 1 heat range on the plugs slot holes and
move down towards oil filter 3 to 4 degree's
advance helps across entire rpm range very
noticeable off idle low end from this mod and
helps gas mileage also

All these mods work as long as all your sensors
are working properly especialy the o2 seeing
more flow it will increase the fuel if not and it
runs worse replace o2 with a good NGK NTK no
bosch or other sensors here they just do not
work well in the dodge motors same as factory

you better watch out with a "choppy" cam. you need to make sure the rest of the motor is ready for that cam. you need to make all components work together or you'll be very disappointed in performance and you could actually make the truck slower than it is now.

The TPS Mod
You'll see when you pull it out of the truck, there are metal inserts that the mounting bolts go through. Just use a drill bit a size larger than the bolt holes. The bit will snag the metal inserts and they'll spin. When the plastic heats up a little bit pull the insert out. Reinstall with small washers so that the bolt heads don't pull into the larger mounting holes. The TPS will now be able to ajust/ twist a little bit as you snug down the bolts. Twist it around until you get the .75 volts as Larry described.
= Better throttle response
Hope that explains it for you...

Hey something interesting to note here.

Most machine shops I've used in the past,
There was no extra charge
between going from .30 to .40

Note on these 6's you won't gain a whole lot,
But it's a little more for the same money.

Just be sure you can get the 40over pistons first

P.S.
I would junk the block an get another before going .60
your asking for trouble otherwise
