Subject: fuel injection and cold IP: Logged
Message: No its not the cold air intake system
All the computer controled vehicles take a MPG
hit in colder weather
My V6 dak
24 25 mpg summer
19 20 around 0
17 18 20 30 below
Lets not mention the hemi 4x4
19 summer
below 0 12 to 14
and that is with a paxon super charger an 05 with
50,000 miles and on its 3rd set of tires, I like
to smoke those babies LOL
There is nothing wrong with your truck its just
the nature of the system

Message: Our winter blend yeilds less energy to begin with.
You might add that computers add more fuel because of cold air in order to maintain proper air/fuel mixture.
I add my warm air system during the winter. I don't need all that extra power spinning my wheels.

Message: My bone stock 2000 club cab 3.9 with 3.92 gets 12-14 during weeks where it doesnt get above 5 all week. That winter blend ethanol just burns to damm quick.

so they sell more gas
Now they are putting it into the premium also
