Subject: how to change tb cable

well my 5.9 tb came in today. I am getting the cable tomarrow..i was looking and am curious as to how to change the cable i wee how the cable goes from the tb to the firewall...however i am not very knowledgable ad i am an 18 years old. can someone plaese explain what to do or tell me where to do to figure it out.i have done a search and could no find mch.....sry for the inconvience but and help would be appreciated

first things first! i gotta down talk ya. lol
- if you cannot figure out how to remove the tb cable then you shouldnt be modding your truck in the result your cannot figure common things out.

now for your answer.
- when i did this i first start off by removing the table from inside the cab. i pulled the gas paddle towards me and removed the cable with the little stopper off the gas paddle then i pop the plastic holding piece out of the firewall so i may grab it from the other side.
then from the other side its just the matter of removing it from the tb and cable holder. fairly easy to figure out, i push back the tab and pull off the cable. should be all there is too it. cant really remember since its been so long.

i i was mainly asking just to be sure i had a vague idea i just wanted to be sure. thanks for the help though.....i put in the 1.7s myself about 2 months ago.

just look at how its cliped take your time and
you will be fine

take a close look how it is routed over motor
so you get it back in the same way they make
a circle at front of motor and back to TB

under this over that you know what I mean
