Subject: checking fuel pressure??? IP: Logged
Message: how does a person check fuel pressure on a 1988 dakota 3.9? Doesn't appear to have a check valve like the newer engines....just a hose going into the throttle body from the tank?

Message: Mikey, you need an extra adapter, you will need to remove the pressure line from your throttle body, clamp on the adapter then hook up the gauge. Mine is an 88 as well, the idle pressure should be around 15psi, at full throttle it should be around 22psi. Any auto parts store should have the adapter.
Good Luck
