SLP-KC-1502 cam lifter kit
summitracing.com put in search $268 for kit
This is made by sealed power I have just ordered
the kit after talking with fedral mogal to get the
specs
Specs
194/205 .424/.424 112 centerline with 1.6 ratio
200/210 .450/.450 112 with 1.7 rockers
a 40 degree overlap over the stock 31 means
better breathing above 2,500 rpm more torque
and hp I would say with the 1.7 rockers around
25 30 hp gain above 2500
this is comprable to the KRC cam 200/210 but
without the over .500 lift no spring change
nessasary
I will be instaling the cam in my 95 4x4 in about
3 weeks takes 2 weeks to get it.
This is the best cam I have found without having
to change springs with gaskets just over $300
that does not include labor.
a cam and spring change is over $1,000 just for
all the parts

Message: The stock cam
184/194 .432 with 1.6 stock rockers
114/110 center line 31 overlap
The Hughes towing cam
192/204 .490/.500 114 center spring change
nessasary $$$$
KRC cam
200/206 again with just over .500 lift 112 center
requiering a spring change
sealed power cams
194/205 .424 112 centerline #1502 with 1.6
200/210 .450 with 1.7 rockers
the #1559 is 183/194 .412 112 center this is
what they list for stock the 1502 is a hotter
cam but only listed for 92 93 3.9 will fit any 3.9
For the money this is an excellent way to go
with the 1.7's great will also run good with
the stock 1.6 rockers cam and lifters $268
From summit with all gaskets came to $324
just about the same as the hughes and KRC
just a little less lift and no $1000 price tag
having to replace the springs and retainers
I still do not know why these companiesdid this
and wonder why they do not sell a lot of cams
KRC cams are comp cams
This cam over stock with 1.6 ratio
using with the 1.7 ratio easy 25hp gain
power band should be just off idle to around
4600rpm with the big gain coming in from 2500
on up
It has a ship date of 3/17/08 for me so It takes
3 days from Ohio so I will not get it untill
3/20 will be in by 3/22 and will post actual
resaults run it 500 miles and dyno right now
just under 200 RWHP stock with 1.7 all boltons
and mods 124,000 on motor 95 4x4

I cant wait to test the cam
If your lifters are good you do not need to
replace them just get the cam but if near 100,000
miles for the money I would replace them
The harland sharp 1.7 is the way to go just bolt
them in around $250 still at $575 a lot less than
changing the springs and no need to pull the heads

list all part numbers with there prefix for the
summit site
I also got the cloyes true double roller chain
with the oversized .250 rollers with sprokits
$45 will instal with factory tensioner and 1.7
harland sharp rockers
With all gaskets comes to $375 everything you need
to change the cam
I know a lot of customers want to go with a
hotter cam but the price with a spring change
is just to much for most so I always keep my
eyes open for alteritives
I cant wait to test this cam

Message: Larry,
Thanks for the information, I'm sure that many of us will be interested to know the results after you get it installed and dialed in. I'm going to take a wild guess abot the increase in RWHP, I guess it to be about 210 to 215 hp, 262 at the crank if its 215. Great expectations expected, good luck and zi sure you will keep us informed as always.

stroked, ported, a very hot cam and the bores
opened to 50mm with a 50mm F&B TB
that would be up around 350 crank I supose it
could go 400 but this motor is usles under
2000rpm
my 267/300 has power from 1200 up low end about the same as stock
The local off road racing team we do work for
has a stroked 3.9 running on nitro pulling
500hp its a straight line mud drag truck with
4.54 gears I rode in it once never again you
get your head slamed against the back of the cab
and it stays there untill you let off the gas

with the krc you need to change springs $$$
There is only 1 of these cams in exsistance right
now found in los angeles calf
will finally get it the first week of april
The 92 93 V6 was rated at 180hp 94 up 175 the 92
93 also had bigger exhaust manifolds and bigger
pipes UM the 92 93 also had a hotter cam mopar
never let that get out to the public
UM any V6 cam 92 to 03 will fit any V6 92 to 93
do not order this cam right now you will not get
one sorrie to say that don't know if fedral mogal
is even going to repop the cam
I got the last one after calling summit and fedral
mogal to get them to ship it from LA it was a big
hassle and took some doing and about 10 phone
calls
because of the volume of parts I buy from summit
they finally broke down and got it shiped for
me
I know that sucks for everyone else here I tell
you of a nice cam and there is only one to be had

Maybe you could just order one with the same specs( 200/210 .450- w/1.7 rr's) as the one Larry got. It a bit more costly but you could still get the job done without the spring change.
Just a thought...............

Message: ok, that's cool. Just wondering as an afterthought though, which specs would offer a better lope in the idle? I know sixes don't give off too much but I've heard a couple that sound like small blocks stitting still so I was just wondering what one would provide the best overall power and add some lope to it.

i have a question...
i have a Hughes Engines cam in my 3.9 as you know and the specs are 208/214 .512/.520 at 114 LSA
and i run 1.6 roller rockers with this cam
i was wondering if i could run 1.7 roller rockers to make the cam appear bigger and give me more duration or lift..
would this work!?
thanks!!

Message: Larry,
If you were to spec a cam for the rest of us, what lift and duration would you call for? How much lift can the stock springs take?
I guess the answer may lie on the other side of your testing of this "last of its kind" Cam that you managed to score.
