Subject: sparatic clunk from rearend IP: Logged
Message: I'm getting a sparatic clunking sound probably from the differential.It seems to do it more after turning or going around a left curve.Any Ideas?? It's a 98 2wd. with a 3.9

Message: Does it have LSD. If it does it could be the clutches releasing to allow wheel speed differentiation.

Message: This probably wouldn't sound like a "clunk", but I remember reading a TSB about a "pop" from the rear of the cab during hard turns, for the club cab models. Something to do with the cab mounts. I saw it at:

Message: Don't know if this applies to Dodge but our '96 Honda CRV expereienced basicaly the same thing. It turned out to be a well know CRV problem. Changing the diff. oil corrected most of the noise.
