Subject: Stalling after new radiator/thermostat IP: Logged
Message: I just installed a new radiator and thermostat, but as I was installing the thermostat. I accidentally cracked the plastic peice that the coolant temperature sensor plugs into. Would this possibly cause my truck to stall when trying to take off from a stopped position?

Message: If the coolant temp sensor breaks and fails open-circuit, it will make the computer think the truck is fully warmed up, and will lean out the mixture, so it might stall under some conditions. It should also trip a check engine light.
