what harness do you mean? u mean PCM to everything on the motor? u ahve alot of differnet connections. you could look into seeing if the wire colors for the truck models are the same, and in that case cut the wries out of the harnesses and sauder them together. it woudltn b easy but its better than a truck with an engine u cant get to work. also, dodge(mopar) may sell a harness adapter for those years, but i HIGHLY doubt that

yes,I guess that would be the PCM it is the one from the computer to everything on the engine. we tried,we tried spliceing the old and new harnesses together ,but we are only shade tree mechanics and did not know if thier was a more profesional way. Anyway the engine still will not turn over.

well one way to test it is mayb try the on off truck n see if itl even throw any codes. if it does then the computer should be working, somethign else must be rong.

see if that helps but u should still get more input on it, i ahvent had to deal with a PCM i jsut no how to check fault codes and they come out of the computer so it goes hand in hand.

if you are having trouble getting it to even turn over, then you need to focus on your ignition switch/column harness and figure out what's gone wrong there.

Myself, I can not say how to incorporate The 2 different wire harnesses. I'm thinking between the 99 and the 2002 you might wire the 2002 same as the 99 using all the sensors off the 99. If the 2002 has more sensors on it you won't have a wire for it from your PCM. If the starter wires different, might be the 99 starter will fit. Thing is. hooking up the 2002 the same as the 99 was, it has to start. But that's not to say the PCM is tuned proper for the new engine. What you really needed was the pcm and wire harness for the engine when you bought it. Last suggestion is to read the numbers on the new engine to be sure of the year and go shopping at wrecking yards for all the correct harnesses and PCM. Anyway you look at it you have a real problem.
