What would be the best upgrades for horse power and miles per gallon? Or better yet, what have you installed on your dak that has been beneficial to you? Not too much money now, no NOS or anything like that.

hate to sound like a d*ck but take a look at the posts here. Nearly all of them are focused on one of the questions you have or the other.

Yeah,

Intake (I went Airaid): Worked -well-
Muffler: Haven't done yet
Spark Plugs: Autolites improved idle!
IAT Relocation: Little more umph
TPS Voltage Adjust: Less throttle lag
Home-Done TB Porting: LOT more Umph!

Overall I've gone from 17-18mpg to 20-21mpg highway after running some fuel injector cleaner through it. Which mod did it? Dunno. Is the truck more responsive now? Hell yeah. I'm loving the 5-speed...

K&N- Worth it
V8 TB- loose a little bottom end pick up top end
180 t'stat- no power, better cooling
elec fan- not worth it
iat adjuster- more consistency
performace computer- very much worth it
headers- worth it after several mods
underdrive pulleys- worth it
good exhaust- worth it/ sound is everything
MSD Coil- no difference
MSD wires- no difference
Autolite plugs- worth it for the money compared to other plugs
Mopar Sure-Grip- DEFINENTLY WORTH IT
4.10 gears- most noticable difference

with these mods in a 95 x-cab v6 auto i went 15.90 at 84 mph with a 2.2 60 ft

Hope I didn't sound too much like an @ss ; ) ... TB is Throttle Body and K&N is a manufacturer that makes high-flow air filters as well as special air filter kits that replace your stock air system (up to the throttle body)

A larger throttle body increases the amount of air that gets into the engine. Someone else can really bring you up to speed on this stuff, it's way more technical than I am. But for starters (and also what i've done to my truck), get an air intake system (K&N or otherwise) and a new muffler. Dynomax Superturbo is what I have.

Call me crazy, but I saw 1.5mpg immediately by installing MSD SuperConductor wires. Best $65 spent ever. K&N FIPK was my most noticeable power increase, with Gibson and throttle body on its heels and IAT Adjuster the best bang-for-the-buck powerwise.

1) MSD - on MSD's website
2) FIPK - fuel injection performance kit; same thing macman's talking about
3) IAT Adjuster - Speedtweaks.net

Or follow the link below.
