Maybe the linkage is not adjusted right. Maybe going from drive to N when things flex?

unless the detent ball fell out its imposible
for the trans to pop into netral LOL

First check elect connections

sols are 200 ohm 180 to 220 normal resistance

Bob obd1 does not have trans codes
RH sticky valve or sol
RE add the pressure sensor and sol
the lockup is in the converter and if bad will
slip all the time its a switcing prob

speed sensor tps can also cause this as well as
a bad map sensor

the lockup will come out at a pre set tps
voltage, pre set map volts (vac)or vehicle speed

this is what controls both o/d and lockup shifts
1-2-3 are hydrolic control the comp only does
the last 2 shifts

I recently purchased a 98 dakota v6 automatic .The truck has about 129,000 mi with a rebuilt trans at 116,000.A few weeks ago the truck seemed to have trouble shifting into 3rd gear the tach would go highter than normal.The mechanic at the dodge dlrshp. said it was the solenoid in the tranny and replaced it.If was fine for a few weeks but now on its doing it again not regularly.It sometimes acts like it doesnt want to go into 2nd or sometimes 3rd and then it acts like it wants to slip back and forth,naturally it doesnt do this when the mechanic is around any ideas what this could be????
