Subject: Squeaking brakes IP: Logged
Message: Anyone have this problem? I have a 2002 Dakota Club Cab Sport. Since July I have gone to the repair shop 6 times for squeaking brakes. They have replaced the front rotors, the rear drums, the rear shoes twice, and the rear hardware. They also adjusted the emergency brake so it wasn't an issue. The front pads don't need replacing, they're in good shape. The sound will go away for a day or a week after the shop visit but then it comes back. It only squeaks during the last few feet when coming to a stop. The sound is always coming from the rear. It sounds like the brakes are shot but everything is new. Any advice?
