Message: It is an add-on. You will cut some wires to install the MSD. Go to the MSD website and download the install instructions. Be sure you are able to do it before you start.
The hardest part is deciding where to place the box.
Most use the MSD 6A.
Summitracing or Jegs usually have the for about $150

Message: All you do is intercept the coil signal
coil wires
steady volts on off
very up and down signal
pull fuel pump relay while cranking
reg 6a box
they realy make a diff on the older vehicles
you may want to drop 1 heat range on the plug
and get some good wires
gap .050 to .060
MSD Techs say open .015 to .020 they are right
on the money with this
I remember reading about people saying no gains
with the ign but somewhere they got this idea to
only open them .005 .010 you could do that with
the stock ign the box is made to open the gap
bigger flame front more power
when I told them .050 to .060 than they noticed
the systems increase can have on your older truck
you will really notice off idle low end break the
tires lose easier

Message: white
dont have the diagram handy but the other is
violet purple this is for a differant set up
use coil wire for signal all your doing here is
converting it to a high voltage multi spark
system timming is still controled the same way
