Message: Sounds as if your shift linkage could need adjustment. Could be catching drive? I have to feel my gears beacause when my truck is in drive it says neutral on the indicator. The dealer messed that up and refused to fix it.. Sheisters I tell ya.. Never EVER take things to the dealership!

Message: The adjustment is a knurled knob where the linkage exits the shaft, behind the plastic. Once found, pointer adjustment is incredibly easy.
Sometimes, when mine isn't properly in gear it'll hunt for a gear. Maybe yours does that in neutral.
Maybe you need a better ATF.
I've had good results asking where people would send their mother.
If you really have problems with a dealer, not just Mercedes wannabe service reps and sales people, www.troubleshootertom.com.

Message: What it sounds like to me a a TCC prob the torque
converter lockup circuit
The valve itself hanging up try some lube gard red
there is also a redesigned replacement valve
avalible to solve this from spring seat to valve
this distance must be .900
a piece of dirt stuck in the elect sol causing
a slight enguagement or the sol is sticking or
a small short sending low volts to the sol
when in normal operation the sol lets the fluid
vent when enguaged it closes this vent and sends
the fluid to the TCC valve in turn filling the
shift acc valve and locking the converter this
can also create a low idle when you pull up to a
stop sometimes enough to stall the motor
I have seen these props escolate into a big
problem like completly killing the engine when
it is shifted into any gear becase the torque
converter was locked
try a fluid and filter change with either Amsoil
universal syn or atf +4 and a 1 bottle of lubegard
red or just the red and see what happens
The redesigned valve is avalible from
transmissionpartsusa.com for $29 made by sonnax
they also make a sure cure kit that solves all
the complaints people have with the mopar trans
converter lube and drain back causing delayed
enguagement when started cold or after sitting
this is solved by a redesigned manual valve
check these things out
